2003. That was the year that i first experienced how to fangirl over a boy group and that was also the first time I attempted to write fanfictions that I surprisingly enjoyed very much. I managed to complete 2 fanfictions regarding the boy group and my friends at that time served as the group members' love interests. After completing those two stories I found that my interest in that boy group, though still existed, was not as fiery as it was when I started. I've liked a couple of artists here and there but I couldn't seem to write the stories the way I used to. Now, I found something and I'm addicted once again. Not to mention my sister's insistance that i write a story about them. XD
Yes, Hey! Say! JUMP members are the new stars in the fanfic I'm currently writing. And since I'm obviously waaaaaaay older than them I will not be the main character of this story but my sister Piku!~
My sister is "in love" with Yamada, pretty much the same way I was with Vanness Wu but that's a different story. This project will be quite a challenge for me because i've never written a story with this many characters before but I will try my hardest to write this story as my christmas present for her. Wish me luck!~

I was planning on writing something about the passing of former President Cory Aquino but I would think its not right to write about something I've never really experienced. Yes, many might say that she was a magnificent person and has done lots of things for our country but I am not the right person to tell you about those things. I would think that simply remembering her and what she's done is already giving great respect to her.
I've been addicted to watching the show COPS on CS9. Its the program where they show US cops on patrol and how they tend to aprehend major offenders because of minor offenses and stupid behavior. The latest episode I've watched was either really depressing or funny depending on how you view it.
The funniest story in the last episode was about an african-american guy who was pulled over because of a broken tail-light and no license. When asked to step down from the car, he said that he's a minor and wants to call his mom first. The police allowed him to call but he still had to step outside for a moment so that the cops could pat him down. A lighter fell from his lap and when he was asked if he smoked he admitted to smoke cigarettes. That's already againsta the law for a minor but since it was minor they decided to let him go. When they didn't find anything he was allowed to go back into the car and make a phone call while they inspected the car from outside using flashlights. That's when he decided to do something really really stupid. While he KNEW that the cops were inspecting the car, he decided to take out a small sachet of MARIJUANA, take the weed OUT of the sachet, put it into HIS mouth, CHEW it, and LOOK at the cops while still CHEWING and HOLDING the sachet with some bits of weed left. BUSTED! He was taken out of the car and cuffed. He claimed that his mother knew he smoked weed and she was okay with it (damn kid >.>). When his mother arrived the cops told her what happened and that he said she knew about it. She said she allowed him to smoke cigarettes but not pot. She went to her son and it was the funniest thing I've ever seen. The mom was like, around 5'3" in height and the guy was around 6'0" to 6'1" and yet he looked like an itty bitty mouse backed into a corner by a cat. They were given a court date to attend to for charges of possession and tampering. He was allowed to go home with his mother but she has to make sure that he appears in court.
Sometimes, even very very cautious people get caught because of really small stupidities they make. That's something people will find very very hard to learn. Especially thos who think that they know everything and think they can get away with anything. Hmmm...sounds like someone we all know, right? *sighs* Stupid stupid people.

Distance learning is truly a great idea but a new process to wrap your mind around. I have been taking up Associate in Arts in the UP Open University under the UP Diliman learning center for a while now. Around twice a month, we have face-to-face meetings basically just consultation on our performance and clearing up some vague topics in the course. I must say, distance learning is easy on the budget and on time. You don't have to think of the fare for public transportation nor gas money for private vehicles, you can have home cooked lunch for free, and you can rest the way you want, when you want. Yes, all of these are good things but I am not saying that there aren't any kinks to the system.
For first timers to distance learning, like myself, expect:
1. limited support from your professors. Not that they're not willing to help you but because the mode of teaching is basically on the internet, your professors can only attend to your concerns once they get online or during the face-to-face discussions. One other reason is also because distance learning is promoting self-discipline and independence, which are good values in everyday life.
2. Beware of laziness. I myself experienced procastinating in doing my assignments due to wanting to sleep more/other work/watching TV/ playing online games/etc. Try to do you assignments ASAP. the earlier you finish your assignments, the more work/play you can do.
3. It also helps to condition your brain to a school setting. It helps if you still put your modules and school supplies in a bag, cover your modules as you would a regular textbook (I covered mine in Hello Kitty Wrappers XD), and make sure your study area, wherever your computer is placed, is neat and feels like you're in a classroom. Believe me, all this can make your studying more comfortable and more focused. Last but not the least,
4. MAKE A STUDY GUIDE/SCHEDULE. This would help you balance all of your time so that you can still study enough for your classes and still have time to do other important activities.
I am not an expert on distance education. I am just imparting my observations based on how I adapted to this system of learning. All of these helped me alot and I hope they can also help other distance learners like myself. ^_^
